The financial assistance for the Association for Supporting Refugeesʼ Settlement in KANAGAWA

On May 27^th, 2021, Ms. Noriko Matsumoto, Director of the Association for Supporting Refugeesʼ Settlement in KANAGAWA and Dr. Masahiro Fujiwara, President of the FWEAP signed an agreement affording the former with 2 million JPY to be disbursed into the emergency food aid project of the association. The signing ceremony was held online due to the spread of the COVID-19.

This project will support the food aid conducted by the association for the purpose of relieving the settlers, students and technical intern trainees who have been financially suffering from the spread of the COVID-19.

With this financial assistance, food including rice, canned food, glass noodles, sausage etc. will be distributed free of charge to approximately 250 people from Vietnam living in Kanto region, mainly Kanagawa prefecture, and Kinki region plus approximately 30 people from Laos living in Kanagawa prefecture.
