The 2nd Special Invitation Program was Held
FWEAP held its second Special Invitation Program (or, 2nd SIP) from 22nd to 25th of April, 2024, and two experts in the field of social welfare from the participating countries and a region; namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos and Taiwan, attended to this program.
FWEAP had held its first Special Invitation Program (or, 1st SIP) in September, 2023 to which two experts from respective eight countries and a region; namely Cambodia, India, Mongolia Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Taiwan and Viet Nam had attended.
During the program of 2nd SIP, FWEAP provided seminars for the participants focused on the issues that would be shared by all participating countries such as “Population Trend in the World and Asia”, “Infection and Injustice: What did the pandemic reveal?”, “Japan’s Historical Issue and Solutions on Social Security” and “Japan’s Strength and Weakness”. Then discussions were led by the experts in each field.
On the contrary, each respective countries and a region presented its “Country Report” on current issues such as “Towards a Stronger Social Protection System in Indonesia”, “Social Protection in Malaysia”, “Situation of Social Work in Lao PDR” and “The Development of Policies and Services for People with Disabilities in Taiwan”.
Then, as an onsite tour, all the invitees visited the Fujita Medical Innovation Center Tokyo located in Haneda Innovation City close to Tokyo International Airport in Haneda. In this facility, the invitees received a tour of the cutting-edge equipment co-researched by the center and companies, the area of medical exam equipment, advanced medical care, active longevity, and rehabilitation facilities with latest technology.
Following the result of this invitation program, the FWEAP is planning to hold online meetings with invitees and formulate training themes for the regular invitation program, which the FWEAP aims to hold in 2025.
