Mr. Heng Roy OKUNO, a former Cambodian refugee, and his family visited the FWEAP
On December 26, 2022, Mr. Heng Roy OKUNO, a former Cambodian refugee, and his family visited the FWEAP and met with Dr. Masahiro Fujiwara, President, and Mr. Jun-ichi Kawaue, Secretary-General of the FWEAP. They discussed about Mr. Okuno’s company manage-ments and living situations.
Mr. Okuno came to Japan as a refugee. He started working after studying Japanese and other subjects at the “Yamato Resettlement Promotion Center.” After that, he established a company, “Okuno Trading Co., Ltd.”, and has run trading and real estate businesses as its president. In May 2020, under the influence of the novel coronavirus pandemic, Mr. Okuno donated a large number of face masks to the FWEAP, which in turn distributed them to the applicants for refugee status at the RHQ.
